While I love that Chris has a passion for theater and performing, I am so tired of not seeing him because of his rehearsals. And I know that I cannot complain (much) because I encourage him to do what he loves. He would do the same for me if there was something I was that passionate about too. He asks if he should do the shows and I say yes because I know that it will make him happy.
It's just hard to be at home with him for an hour in the afternoon (if I'm not working) and then have him leave to go to rehearsal for who knows how long. In the end, I suppose its good for both of us, I get to be more independent, and spend time with people that I dont get to see as often (friends and family). His rehearsal time has even given me a chance to rekindle friendships from my past that are very important to me. I just wish that I could tell his directors to not give him rehearsals on Tues/Wed so that he and I could share time together on my days off. But let me tell you, its a good thing we love each other and are able to make good use of the time that we do have together, otherwise I'd be a pretty lonely lady.
One of these days, maybe I'll just put in for an extra day off and make sure the only thing on our agenda is spending time with each other.
OH MY GOSH, I could have written this about Donald and basketball. I know he loves it, though, and I know he really enjoys the physical activity so I just let it go.
ReplyDeleteWe keep counting down to next January. When that comes around, he'll have maxed out his PTO, so every couple weeks he'll be forced to take a day off work. I can't wait to have those days to just relish time together with our family =)
(Sorry it identifies me by my website. I usually don't do that on friends' blogs, but I can't figure out how to change my google ID and that's what I'm using to comment, so I think you're stuck with it!)
ReplyDeleteI dont care that it identifies you by your website. If anything, it'll maybe get you some more traffic on your blog. :)
